Teens and Tweens
youth at saint hilary’s
Youth of Saint Hilary’s (YOSH), is an organization for teens from 6th-12th grades created and maintained by St. Hilary’s volunteers to expand the spiritual, social, and intellectual growth of teens beyond the elementary grade Children’s Church and participation in the worship service.
Multiple programs and events reach out to all teens.
YOSH Bible Explorations meets 2 Sundays of every Month from 11:15 a.m. to 12:30p.m. in the YOSH Room in the Ed Wing. Topics include Science and the Bible, Teen Life and more.
Also there are monthly events emphasizing service to the community, service to our church, social awareness, growth in personal skills, fund raising and of course just plain fun.
For more information on YOSH and our upcoming events, service opportunities and programs, contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call the office.
mission service and learning trips
Each Summer, the teens are involved in mission and service work either locally or on away trips. They fund raise, learn team skills and prepare for these trips all year long. 2017 took us to Copperhill, Tennessee with TEAMeffort Missions where we learned the importance of making God our Scaffolding structure to build our life with in. We worked with an elderly woman named Cleo to provide her with a safe kitchen floor and front porch and met 200 other Christian Youth on the same journey. We learned a lot of new building skills and patience when things didn’t always go as planned. We also had a lot of fun and grew closer as a group.
